The same researchers audited 2,241 U.S. companies and found the average first-response time was 42 hours, and 23% of companies never responded at all.

Speed doesn't just qualify leads; it wins the deal. A commonly cited Google and CEB figure holds that 35 to 50% of B2B sales go to the vendor that responds first. And the bluntest number of all: around 51% of inbound leads are never contacted at all. Half the demand a company pays to generate is met with silence. Your competitors are slow. That's the opening.
